ADMISSIONS
St Alban’s admits up to 170* pupils into each year group as per Welsh Government/Local Authority directives. *Effective from September 2022.
The Governors of St Alban’s offer 170 places each year. If there are more than 170 applications, then governors will use oversubscription criteria which can be found in the Admissions Policy.

At St Alban’s RC High School, we genuinely understand the importance of the decision you are making in entrusting us with your child. We are a school which always works in partnership with you and your children, so that they feel happy, safe, and enjoy coming to school. We do our best to ensure that they can make the best academic process possible, joining in the ethos of the school with enthusiasm and commitment. St Alban’s is also a place of learning and reflection with all our colleagues, our students and you, ensuring our practice is always reviewed with our eye on real excellence as every year progresses.

St Alban’s is a small, high quality Catholic, Voluntary Aided High School, which serves the Catholic Parishes and the wider Christian community of North Gwent.
We also open our doors to youngsters who share our ethos and values and who would prefer their post-16 education to be in a very caring, supportive and challenging environment.
