EXAMINATION SUCCESS

 

Students at St. Alban’s R.C. High School perform exceptionally well at all key stages. The school performs well above expected levels and achieve some of the highest outcomes in the country.

GCSE Results

Over the last four years, the school has consistently performed well above the local and national averages against all performance indicators

In 2018, the school achieved a strong set of GCSE results, with 72.4% of students achieving 5 or more A*-C grades including English Language and Mathematics/Numeracy. 20.7% of students achieved at least 5 or more A*-A grades and every child in the year group left with a qualification.

A Level Results

Sixth Form results are consistently very good. In 2018, 92% of students achieved the Level 3 Threshold (at least 2 A levels A*-E). 18% of students achieved 3 or more A levels at A*-A grades or equivalent and 53% achieved 3 or more A levels at A*-C grades or equivalent.

Nearly all of our students progress to university from our sixth form, with a significant number attending Oxbridge and Russell Group Universities. However, all students consistently gain a place at their preferred destinations.
