Welcome to St Alban’s RC High School / Croeso I Ysgol Uwchradd Gatholig St Albans

St Alban’s is a small high-quality Catholic school. The school serves the Catholic parishes and the wider Christian community of North Gwent.

We are very proud that St Alban’s has established a reputation for high standards and high achievement. Our aim is not simply to provide an outstanding academic and vocational education, but to develop in our students an understanding of, and respect for, spiritual and moral values within a caring, Christian community. The school’s success is based on real Christian commitment and ethos, high ambition and high standards, good discipline and a very active involvement in charitable works.

We care for each other, and staff and pupils work together for the benefit of all. We have a well-developed pastoral system and excellent staff-student relationships based on mutual respect and strengthened through involvement in many extra-curricular activities.

“The strong and well-established relationship with local churches is an important part of the caring and supportive ethos of the school.  This makes a beneficial contribution to pupils’ wellbeing and their spiritual and moral development, for example through charity work and international links.”

“I am enjoying St Alban’s because the school is one big community who look after and look out for each other. They offer a good behaviour system and the teachers are very helpful. They want us to excel in all we do and be the best that we can be.”
