Introduction
St Alban’s High School Drama department brings together students who share a passion for theatre and performing arts. The department promotes learning about theatre through lessons, activities, trips and productions that enhance the educational goals of the theatre’s discipline courses and productions. It also strives to foster an appreciation of all forms of the performing arts and provides opportunities for artistic growth within the department itself as well as the greater school community.
School Productions
St Alban’s has one senior school production and one lower school production every year. These productions are inclusive to all school students and allows pupils to take part onstage, backstage, as part of the technical team, as front of house crew and within the band. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding productions every year and have much enjoyment working with all students throughout the process.
This next school year will see us undertaking a huge project by producing the schools’ edition of ‘Miss Saigon’ to be perfomed in February 2013. We will be one of the first schools’ so make sure you don’t miss out on this fantastic show!
